Help us Help Others
A Message from Rabbi Mendel Rosenblum

Dear Friends,
You have come to know Chabad of the South Hills as a place of friendship, learning and inspiration.  We work tirelessly to raise the level of Jewish awareness in the South Hills by sharing the joys and relevance of our heritage through our creative programs.
Increasingly, we have also become a place to turn to when life presents its challenges. Challenges such as how to bury a loved one when funds are deficient, how to keep the phone on when the bills have not been paid, how to fill your gas tank when all options have been exhausted.
In the past few weeks alone we have been called upon to help friends of mine and yours with each of the basic necessities mentioned above. And although these are difficult fiscal times for all of us, we have never turned anyone away. For as Jews, we must be there to look after each other's mundane needs as well as to offer spiritual support.
We of course are primarily committed to bringing vitality to Jews and Judaism in the South Hills through our Senior Programs, Jewish Learning Institute, Hospital Visitations, Hebrew School, Teen JLI, Holiday Programs, Women’s Programs, Weekly Services, Chaplaincy Services and much more. We must however respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters as they present themselves to us.
It is in this spirit that we turn to you for your assistance. Your generous donation is tax deductible, and will enable us to continue our vital community work. Your generous contribution makes you a partner in all of our vital work.

Our Sages teach us that those who help others are repaid tenfold. In the merit of your generosity, may G‑d Almighty bless you, that this coming year be one of great success both materially and spiritually.
